HMGS, Inc. Outreach
HMGS, Inc.’s Outreach pursues HMGS’ mission outside of our conventions, by promoting, aiding and assisting in the exposure of historical tabletop gaming and military history to the general public and non-historical gamers.
Outreach activities contain participation games open to the public, primarily in HMGS, Inc’s “geography”, i.e., Maine through the Carolinas, out through Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
With a focus on the general public and non-HMGS affiliated gamers, Outreach runs events at historical sites, history-related events (like heritage festivals), and other gaming conventions (like PAX Unplugged).
Outreach Coordinators
Outreach has recently created an initial group of local Outreach Coordinators to identify local opportunities and work with local groups to participate in different public events. Active Outreach areas (the incumbents and their email addresses) can be seen in the Outreach section of the Board, Officers, Staff page.
If you are an HMGS, Inc. Member and interested in potentially being an Outreach Coordinator please use the form on this linked page (you have to be logged in to hmgs.site-ym.com to access the form).

HMGS, Inc. also has a “sister organization”, HMGS Next Gen, a non-profit organization focused on helping libraries, schools, universities, etc. build gaming groups in their facilities.
