Subtitle: For Country or Fuehrer – Volume 3: P-Z
The third and final book in the series offers brief listings of German generals and admirals. Bios include WWI and WWII war record of commands with dates, awards, and fates. One aspect to remember is that some two-digit dates indicate years in the 1800s (often birthdays) — for example, ’92 being 1892. Likewise, ’45 almost always indicated 1945. You can figure it out from the context of the remarks.
Included is a short recap of the European Theater in WWII from the Fall of France to the Fall of Berlin.
The book contains 100 black and white photos, mostly head shots of one officer or another.
I can’t say I read them all — I just skipped around, but as a reference, the three-book series is an impressive collection and compilation of data.
Enjoyed it.
